Little is a former chairman of the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry (IACI), "The Voice of Business in Idaho," and was a member of its board for twenty years (1981-2001). He was also the former vice-chairman of the Idaho Community Foundation and the Emmett Public School Foundation, and the former director of the Idaho Wool Growers Association and the University of Idaho.

Following his passion for business, he began purchasing cable TV systems in 1995, at the height of the business he owned and operated cable TV and Internet systems in 4 states: Idaho, Washington, Texas and New Mexico. Following his retirement from the Cable industry he became involved with local Government serving first on the Troy City Council for 3 years and then as a Latah County Commissioner where he is currently serving his 3rd term. Dave and his wife Leslie of 25 years have 5 kids and 7 grandkids.

He worked in business management for over 5 years. He also severed for 12 years in Latah County Sheriff's department. During that time he worked as their Community Policing Officer, was a tactical team member & earned Deputy of the Quarter. Mr. Skiles is a POST certified officer that served as class president during my academy training. He worked in St. Maries as a reserve officer. He is currently serving as the Chief of Police for Troy, Idaho. I also functions as an elder, board member and treasurer for the Faith Church in Potlatch. He has passion for law enforcement and a heart for the people of this great county that he calls home. His mission is to coordinate an efficient administration that works effectively and actively throughout the county through integrated education and training to maximize the investment of the tax payer dollar. He knows this plan can be accomplished through resourcefulness, respect, responsibility, integrity, service, professionalism and conservative values.
